FAQ

What’s considered a Gen fic/art?
For the purpose of this challenge, a Gen fic/art is a fanwork that doesn’t focus on a romantic or sexual relationship.

Is NSFW allowed?
Yes, if it doesn’t focus on romantic or sexual relationships. (For example, nudity, masturbation, or non-sexual kinks.) All NSFW should be tagged accordingly. For art, crop a sfw preview and include a link to the full image.

Is background relationships allowed?
Yes. (You can tag them as “Minor X/Y” under Additional Tag when you post it on AO3, so they won’t show up in the main filter for the ship.)

Is pre-relationships or past relationships allowed?
Use your best judgement. If this is about characters mutual pining for each other it’s obviously a romance fic. If the relationship may be romantic only if you squint, then it’s fine.
For past-relationship, if it’s about them moving on or becoming friends, it’s gen. If most of the fic is about flashback to their relationship and angsty longing, then it's romance.

Romantic friendship, friends with benefits, non-sexual domestic partners?
Use your best judgement. I’m not gonna say no.
